My Story

Life can be challenging, messy, chaotic and yet gloriously beautiful & expansive

Kia Ora, I’m Tammie Maree, I am a self taught mixed medium artist who uses colour, symbolism, energy and sensory experiences to weave stories that inspire and empower individuals

I BELIEVE CREATIVITY IS EVERYONES BIRTHRIGHT

The essence of my creative practice is energy awareness, playful exploration and lots of curiosity mixed with trial and error. I enjoy experimenting, and he is in a variety of mediums. Currently, I enjoy watercolour, digital illustration, photography, and different types of clay. My whole being style for you and abstract.

The core or my work is inspired by the feminine form, body appreciation, sacred geometry and nature. It is also influenced by the concepts and elements, woven, and such as archetypes, energetics and visual stories which all impact the alchemy within one’s soul.

I CREATE ART TO INSPIRE CONVERSATIONS AND TO BE EXPERIENCED THROUGH INNER FEELINGS

My Vision

Eliminate self loathing, shame and invisibility patterns

My commitment is to inspire and empower individuals to create a life they can thrive in by creating fun and safe experiences that invites curiosity and experimentation with the transformation possibilities of art and ritual

My Business Name

Reclaiming my wholeness authentic and unseparated

I have carried a few names for my businesses over the last few decades the main one was Anahera Koha but in 2019 I had a massive shift that left this feeling out dated. I didn’t want to rebrand or change anything but after some journaling I started to see that using my name or a version of my name may be the best way forward. The more I leaned into owning Tammie Maree as my business name the more I was able to see how much of my life had been shaping me to reclaim this part of me.

Tammy Maree is my birth name but when I was about 13 I started writing poetry and started using Tammie it has kind of stuck I have considered making it my legal name but have not got there yet due to finances and not wanting to offend my parents but my mum recently said I should change it legally so I am considering it again. I later had another aha moment around a little personal humorous twist in using Tammie Maree - I'm only addressed by both my names when I was in trouble or seen as inappropriate both growing up and even now as part of my plan is to move towards some taboo or controversial topics so it felts right and authentic to use a version of my real name in this moment.

My Vaules

These guide my decisions within my business and in my creative vision they also ground my relationship with my self and extended individuals within my business circle
